 International students are encouraged to begin the admission process six months prior to the start of the school semester to allow ample time for processing by both LCCC 和 the 美国公民及移民服务局(USCIS). Fall semester typically begins at the end of August 和 spring semester about mid-January. 

入学协议

任何不精通阅读的国际学生, 写作, 和 speaking English must enroll in English as a Second Language (非母语英语课程) courses. These courses are credit courses, 和 the fee is the same as for any other college credit course. You should have an intermediate to advanced knowledge of English. 要获得第一级非母语英语课程课程的资格，你应该完成以下的 托福考试 考试成绩为75分或满分 雅思考试 得分6分.5. Official ETS 托福考试 score sheets must accompany all international application packets.  

All international students must be full-time students (a minimum of 12 credits). Any petition to take fewer than 12 credits must be approved by the international student advisor. 作为一个国际学生, you cannot accept a grade of “W” or withdraw yourself from a class if that means dropping below 12 credits. Violation of this policy is a failure to maintain F-1 visa status 和 will cause you to lose your visa status.

If you have failed to maintain status at LCCC or another college/university, you should meet with the international student advisor to establish the feasibility of petitioning USCIS for reinstatement to status. 如果你可以申请复职的话, 你的导师可以帮助你收集最新的文档. If a reinstatement is not possible or if the USCIS has denied your petition, you must leave the country immediately; there is no grace period. Students out of status over five months cannot apply for reinstatement 和 must return home.

作为一个国际学生, you are required to schedule an appointment with the international student advisor as soon as you arrive in the area (within 10 days). You can contact your international student advisor at 610-799-1137 or international@bc178.cc. 

你必须带上护照、签证、 I-94和I-20来保存你的SEVIS记录. The international student advisor will assist you in course selection throughout your academic career 和 will advise you on your responsibilities for maintaining legal status while in the United States.  

All international students must report regularly to the advisor 和 must report within 10 days any change in your address, 主要的, 和/或财务和就业状况. This 和 all other requirements will be explained at your first meeting.

All students are given a placement test in speaking, 写作, reading, 和 mathematics. 请致电610-799-1124安排此测试.  

Test results will be used to schedule you for appropriate courses. The director of the English as a Second Language Program assists students with registering for the appropriate-level courses after the placement test. 如果需要额外的建议, please make an appointment with your international student advisor.

If you have completed college-level credits at universities outside the U.S. 和 wish to have some of your credits applied to your LCCC 主要的, you should have your transcripts evaluated by a credential evaluation agency. 更新护照

You must keep your passport updated at least six months into the future. Passports must be updated at your native country’s consulate or embassy. 其中大多数位于纽约或华盛顿特区.C. 有些国家要求亲自办理. 在你离开美国之前.S. for a temporary visit to your home country (or any other country), you must obtain the signature of the international student advisor on your currently valid Form I-20; otherwise, 你将不能再进入美国. 你必须保持全职状态才能签署I-20表格. If you have not maintained full-time status 和 wish to leave the country, you will need a new I-20 to take with you to your home country 和 you must go through the process of obtaining a student visa.
